MCS are absolute icons for writing the music they have over their near THIRTY YEAR existence. From heartfelt songs dedicated to their wives, to heartBREAKING songs that were filled with fun, dancey synths, I was prepared for their set to be incredible. I was absolutely NOT disappointed. The Fillmore Auditorium in Denver made such a classy backdrop to their set, and it was a delight to watch so many people dancing around and having such a great time.

Say Anything

I have an older brother, and anyone with older siblings can agree with me that they HEAVILY influence your music taste. My mom, being a Green Day fan while I was growing up, absolutely solidified my love for emo/pop-punk at a young age. That being said, I was discouraged from listening to Say Anything because it was viewed as “too vulgar”, which, honestly, just made me want to listen to them more. One of the two folks I went to this show with is a MASSIVE fan, and her chaotic energy matched the rest of the crowd. Paired with how good and energetic the band was, you couldn’t help but jump around underneath the massive ballroom chandeliers.
