PINKNOISE x EDITH

EDITH

The folks in EDITH have become some of the most lovely friends I’ve been able to make over the past few years of me living in Denver, so any time I get to see them get slapped onto a cool show, I am over the moon about it. One thing about an EDITH show is that they bring the same absolute batshit energy to every single performance they do. It doesn’t matter the day of the week (shoutout to this show being a Tuesday show), or how tired any of them could be; you’re getting an incredible, intense show every single time. All of the new music they’ve been releasing is incredible, but I, of course, am a diehard “Among The Spiders” fan, so I was stoked that they ended their set with that. All together, what an amazing band to set the tone and incredible energy for the night.

PINKNOISE

As a girl who has an entirely pink room (it’s ridiculous; even my cups and plates match), I’ve gotta just first express my excitement to see a hardcore artist walk onstage to an all-pink-lit stage. And then after walking out, having the most INSANE dynamic, incredible, and brutal vocals?? I was hooked. The range that singer Kacey Foxx has is immeasurable. Each song is so well written, from the words to the melodies to the instrumentals; not a single aspect misses. I have to say, when they played “WHY YOU SURVIVED,” I was damn near bawling my eyes out.

Everyone in the band had incredible energy while not missing a single note, and everyone was so engaged. It was wonderful to see everyone in the crowd singing along, being included in the personal stories and the moments of the songs, and you could just feel the love that both the band had for the crowd and the crowd had for PINKNOISE.
